Following my passion for diving, I started my professional diving career in August 2023 by completing a 4-month divemaster training with ORCA in Marsa Alam. Ever since, I have been working with ORCA as a dive guide. During this time, I gained extensive experience in guiding different kinds of dives (mostly shore dives, but also drift dives (boat and zodiac), night dives, deep dives, and (since I got certified as instructor) try dives. Currently, I have 530 logged dives and, of course, I have my own diving equipment and DAN insurance. 

My employer is a small dive center under Swiss/Egyptian management that works with a high share of regular customers from Germany and Italy. In particular, I learned the importance of high-quality training in order to conduct safe and enjoyable dives with high standards. Furthermore, my supervisors supported me from the beginning in my goal of becoming an instructor so that I was specifically deployed on dives with newly certified divers. This helped me a lot to improve my problem-solving skills and my stress resistance. Also, I assisted in various courses e. g. intensively in the training of our divemaster trainees (dive guiding and dive briefings) so that I could work on my training skills. As a team player, I am confident that I can bring a positive attitude and a strong work ethic to any team. 

In November 2024, I was certified as SSI Open Water Instructor and now I want to relocate and take on new challenges. My certification as instructor may still be fresh - as is my motivation and my passion to teach and to dive and show the breathtaking beauty of the underwater world. As a graduate geographer with a focus on tourism and regional planning, sustainability and the preservation of our marine ecosystems are particularly important to me.
